The vivo X300 Pro has officially arrived at our office for a full and detailed review, and first impressions already suggest that this device could mark one of vivo’s most refined design updates in recent memory. We previously had a brief hands-on session during the X300 series launch in China, but having the phone in-house gives us a far better look at its design subtleties, software polish, and camera refinements.

It’s immediately noticeable that the X300 Pro is slightly smaller in every dimension compared to its predecessor, the X200 Pro – a move that makes it feel denser, more balanced, and perhaps a bit more premium in hand.

One of the most apparent design differences lies in the display. The older X200 Pro featured a subtly curved screen that blended seamlessly into its edges, while the X300 Pro goes for a completely flat design. It’s a bold change – some will miss the elegant curve, while others will appreciate the more practical, less reflective flat panel. Among our team, opinions are split, but everyone agrees that the display looks stunning, sharp, and impressively bright. The overall finish gives the phone a cleaner, more modern aesthetic.

The new OriginOS 6 also deserves attention. Replacing Funtouch OS on the global stage, OriginOS 6 feels like a major leap forward for vivo’s software. Its interface is visually refreshed, more colorful yet organized, with smoother animations and improved system consistency. It’s intuitive, visually pleasant, and feels much more premium than earlier iterations – a clear sign that vivo has been listening to user feedback.

On the camera front, vivo hasn’t reinvented the wheel but refined it. The X300 Pro’s main camera setup builds upon the already excellent system from the X200 Pro with improved image processing and tuning. What excites us most, however, is the front-facing camera – reportedly identical to the one found in the X200 Ultra, known for producing some of the best selfies in the series. We’re eager to test if this holds true in day-to-day use.

Battery life is another aspect worth watching. vivo has added an extra 510mAh of capacity, which could translate to noticeably longer screen-on times, especially given the power optimizations in OriginOS 6. The X300 Pro might just become one of the endurance leaders in its class.

As for aesthetics, the standout variant is an elegant shade of brown – a color rarely seen in modern smartphones and one that makes the X300 Pro feel distinctive and sophisticated. The box includes a matching protective case and a thick USB-C cable, though, as expected, no charger is provided. All in all, the X300 Pro feels like a mature and confident evolution of vivo’s flagship formula, and we can’t wait to share the full review results soon.
