The vivo V60, first unveiled in India earlier this month, is now stepping onto the global stage with launches in Malaysia, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
The camera-first midranger brings a mix of durability, imaging muscle, and big-battery endurance to compete in a crowded 2025 market.
In Malaysia, buyers can already pick up the 8/256GB model in Berry Purple or Mist Gray for MYR 1,850 (around $440). Taiwan and Vietnam are next, with Vietnam’s pre-orders wrapping up just now – retail availability should update shortly.
What makes the V60 stand out is its resilience despite being just 7.5mm slim. It carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it can shrug off dust, endure 2 hours under 1.5m of water, and even survive blasts of scalding 80°C water jets. That’s serious toughness in a sleek frame.
On the photography side, vivo worked with ZEISS to equip the phone with a 50MP telephoto shooter using Sony’s IMX882 sensor (1/1.95”), paired with a 73mm lens and OIS. Specialized modes like Telephoto Stage Portrait and Telephoto Landscape Portrait highlight its versatility. A 50MP main sensor (1/1.56”, OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide cover broader scenarios, while the 50MP selfie cam with a wide 21mm ZEISS lens promises detailed self-portraits. Both the front and rear cameras record 4K at 30fps.
Powering it all is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, backed by a hefty 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W FlashCharge. Gamers get a bonus: bypass charging, ensuring long sessions on the 6.77” OLED display (120Hz, 1080p+) without heating the battery unnecessarily. vivo says the phone can handle Mobile Legends: Bang Bang at 90fps smoothly, underlining its performance chops.
While some users have nitpicked the ultrawide downgrade and limited RAM options, others see the big battery, telephoto focus, and durability as strong reasons to consider the V60 over rivals. In markets where mid-tier phones often cut corners, vivo is betting on camera quality and sheer endurance to make the V60 a standout.
