After years of uncertainty and delays, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 finally has a release date: October 21, 2025. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The announcement came during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, where publisher Paradox Interactive and developer The Chinese Room confirmed the long-awaited launch.

The troubled development of the sequel, which initially began under Hardsuit Labs before being handed to The Chinese Room, has left fans skeptical but hopeful. Now, with pre-orders open, players can choose between three versions: Standard, Deluxe, and Premium.

The Premium Edition stands out – and not without controversy. It grants access to the Lasombra and Toreador clans, both of which are locked for players who don’t buy the Premium package or the separate Shadows and Silk DLC. Each clan comes with distinct powers, abilities, and visual flair. While exciting for role-players, the paywall approach has already sparked debate within the community.

The Deluxe Edition is lighter in scope, offering the Santa Monica Memories pack – a collection of cosmetic apartment decorations inspired by the cult classic original. This add-on can also be purchased separately for $11.99.

Meanwhile, the Premium Edition bundles both Santa Monica Memories and Shadows and Silk. The latter costs $21.99 if bought on its own, and includes the highly sought-after clan access. Premium buyers essentially get the full package: nostalgia, style, and expanded role-playing options.

Pre-ordering any edition comes with a bonus: the Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox, a decorative in-game music player featuring tracks from the legendary Rik Schaffer, composer of the first game’s unforgettable soundtrack.

Wccftech had the chance to test the opening missions of Bloodlines 2 ahead of Gamescom. More gameplay impressions and developer interviews are expected during the event, keeping anticipation alive as the October launch nears.
