Stellar Blade has set a new benchmark for Korean gaming on Steam, shattering records and driving a massive portion of developer Shift Up’s earnings.
According to the company’s Q2 FY2026 financial report, the action RPG’s PC launch propelled them to their best quarter ever, with operating revenue hitting 112 billion KRW and profit reaching 68 billion KRW.
The game accounted for a staggering 58% of the quarter’s revenue, cementing its role as the studio’s crown jewel. Originally released on PlayStation 5 a year ago, Stellar Blade stormed onto Steam with over 1 million units sold in just three days, reaching a combined 3 million sales across PC and console. It also set a new record for Korean games on the platform, peaking at nearly 200,000 concurrent players-outperforming Sony’s biggest PC hits, including Ghost of Tsushima (77K), God of War (73K), Spider-Man (66K), Horizon: Zero Dawn (57K), and The Last of Us Part I (37K).
Players praise the move away from console exclusivity, with many calling the PC version the definitive experience. Earlier this month, Shift Up rolled out a new patch across PC and PS5, bringing performance tweaks and bug fixes to keep the action running smoothly. With rumors swirling about a potential Nintendo Switch 2 release, it seems Stellar Blade isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Now available on PC and PlayStation 5, this breakout hit is proving that great games don’t need to be locked to one platform to dominate the charts.
