Just a week after the Galaxy XCover7 received the Android 16-based update, the company has expanded its rollout to include seven more smartphones – a move that underscores Samsung’s growing commitment to long-term software maintenance and a unified Android experience across models.

The latest wave brings One UI 8 to the Galaxy XCover7 Pro, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, Galaxy M34, Galaxy M35, Galaxy Wide 7, and Galaxy Quantum 3. The XCover7 Pro, known for its rugged design and enterprise durability, is receiving the update under firmware version BYI6 in South Korea. While the rollout starts there, global availability is expected soon, as Samsung’s phased updates often expand to other regions within weeks.

In the mid-range segment, Samsung’s beloved Galaxy A series joins the list. Both the Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A53 5G have started receiving One UI 8 in South Korea, with firmware versions GYI3 and GYI2 respectively. These two models remain fan favorites due to their balance between price, performance, and design. The update brings visual refinements, improved privacy controls, AI-powered app suggestions, and battery optimization features that further close the gap between mid-tier and flagship experiences.

For those using the Galaxy Wide 7 and Galaxy Quantum 3, Samsung’s rollout continues under firmware versions CYI6 and GYI4. Interestingly, these devices go by different names outside South Korea – the Wide 7 is marketed internationally as the Galaxy M15, and the Quantum 3 is sold as the Galaxy M53. The update includes smoother animations, smarter multitasking tools, and improved camera tuning, which many users have been eagerly waiting for.

Meanwhile, Indian users are also seeing action. The Galaxy M34 and Galaxy M35 have begun receiving One UI 8 with firmware versions M346BXXU8EYI8 and M356BXXU5CY18. These models are budget-friendly yet powerful options, and this new software refresh breathes fresh life into them – particularly with performance improvements, better RAM management, and enhanced security patches.

As always, Samsung is rolling out the update in stages to avoid potential bugs, so not every user will get it right away. Owners can check manually by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. The update, based on Android 16, solidifies Samsung’s position as a leader in Android longevity – delivering both innovation and reliability to a diverse lineup of users worldwide.
