Samsung is doubling down on the idea that a modern screen should be more than just a static monitor on your desk. With the launch of the Movingstyle 27-inch portable touchscreen and the 32-inch Movingstyle M7 Smart Monitor, the company is trying to blend TV-style smart features, tablet-like convenience, and work-ready connectivity into two highly flexible displays that can move with you around the home or office.
Both Movingstyle models run the latest version of Samsung’s One UI Tizen platform, the same smart interface that powers many of the company's TVs. 
This means you get quick access to streaming apps, productivity tools, and Samsung's own software features without needing a PC connected all the time. On top of that, Samsung promises seven years of operating system updates, which is a big deal in a category where many smart displays are quickly abandoned after a couple of software revisions.
Key to the Movingstyle experience are features like Now Brief and Vision AI. Now Brief is designed to give you at-a-glance information such as schedules, reminders, and relevant content when you wake the screen, while Vision AI combines AI-enhanced picture and sound processing with personalization options that learn your preferences over time. In simple terms, the monitor tries to adjust what you see and hear according to your habits, the type of content you consume, and your environment, aiming to feel more like a smart companion than a basic display. Knox security is also built in, helping safeguard personal data and user profiles on a device that may be shared by several people at home.
The 27-inch Movingstyle touchscreen is the more tablet-like of the two. It comes with an integrated kickstand, so you can set it up on a table, kitchen counter, or coffee table and adjust the angle as you like. Samsung also offers a rollable floor stand, turning the monitor into a movable digital canvas you can wheel from room to room. A built-in battery rated for around three hours of use means you can watch a movie, host a video call, or stream a workout session without being tethered to a wall socket the entire time.
Because it is a touchscreen, the 27-inch Movingstyle can be used much like a large tablet, whether you are scrolling through documents, browsing the web, or navigating streaming apps directly on the display. Voice control is handled by Bixby, Samsung's virtual assistant, which allows for hands-free commands like changing inputs, launching apps, or adjusting volume. If you own a Galaxy Watch, you also get gesture command support, letting you trigger certain actions with wrist movements for a more futuristic, remote-free experience.
On the audiovisual side, the 27-inch model supports Wi-Fi connectivity, Dolby Atmos for more immersive audio, HDR10+ for enhanced contrast and color in supported content, and Motion Xcelerator 120Hz, which aims to deliver smoother motion in fast-paced scenes, such as sports or gaming. Connectivity options include USB-C and HDMI ports, so you can hook up laptops, consoles, or other devices, and you can mirror your smartphone screen directly to the display, turning it into a larger canvas for apps, videos, or presentations.
Samsung is also leaning into the lifestyle angle with access to the Samsung Art Store. Through a subscription, the Movingstyle can serve as a digital picture frame with more than 4,000 available artworks. For users who do not want to pay, Samsung rotates 30 free art pieces each month, allowing the screen to blend into your decor even when you are not actively using it for movies, games, or work.
The Movingstyle M7, on the other hand, is a 32-inch 4K smart monitor aimed at users who want a bigger canvas and a more traditional workstation setup, yet still value mobility. It ships with a rolling stand that has a 17.7-inch base and hidden wheels. According to Samsung, this setup is designed for quiet and stable movement across different floor types, from hardwood to carpet, so you can reposition the display between rooms without dragging furniture or wrestling with cables.
The stand for the M7 is height-adjustable and supports pivot, swivel, and tilt, giving you ergonomic flexibility whether you are using it as a primary PC monitor, a vertical screen for reading and coding, or a living-room display for streaming. A 13-foot power cable is routed neatly through the stand's column, helping keep the overall setup clean and tidy even as you move the monitor around.
In terms of ports, the Movingstyle M7 offers USB-C, HDMI, and USB-A connections, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of laptops, desktops, and accessories. One standout software feature is built-in Multi Control, which allows you to drag and drop documents and images between connected Galaxy devices and the monitor. This tight integration is particularly appealing for users already invested in Samsung's ecosystem who want smoother continuity between phone, tablet, and PC.
Pricing underscores how differently these two products are positioned. The 27-inch Movingstyle portable touchscreen comes in at a premium suggested retail price of $1,199 or £1,199, reflecting its battery, touchscreen capabilities, and highly mobile design. The 32-inch Movingstyle M7 Smart Monitor, despite its larger 4K panel and rolling stand, is priced at $699.99. For a limited time, buyers in the US who purchase the M7 directly from Samsung or from select retailers receive a $200 credit, making the package even more attractive for those looking to upgrade their home office or entertainment setup.
