Samsung is gearing up for a major shift in its flagship lineup with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, and one of the biggest changes is the introduction of the Galaxy S26 Pro, replacing the vanilla S26.
Fresh leaks from tipster Digital Chat Station reveal that the S26 Pro (model SM-S9420) will feature a 6.27-inch display and a slightly larger 4,300 mAh battery-just 300 mAh more than the Galaxy S25’s 4,000 mAh cell.
While that’s a modest boost, many fans are already voicing disappointment, saying 4,300 mAh feels small for a 2025 premium flagship, especially when mid-range devices in Samsung’s own A series are packing 5,000 mAh or more. Some are calling for nothing less than 6,000 mAh, while others dream of 10,000 mAh becoming the new norm.
On the camera front, rumors suggest the S26 Pro will gain a new main sensor, though details remain under wraps. The S26 family is expected to include three models: the S26 Pro, the S26 Edge (taking over from the Plus variant), and the S26 Ultra.
With its slightly larger display and battery, the S26 Pro could appeal to users wanting a more compact flagship without going ultra-premium, but battery life expectations in 2025 may make or break its reception.
