Samsung has officially widened the rollout of its much-anticipated One UI 8 software for the Galaxy S25 lineup, bringing the stable update to users outside of South Korea for the first time. The Android 16-based firmware, which had its initial release earlier this week exclusively in Samsung’s home market, is now reaching Galaxy S25 devices in Germany, India, and the United Kingdom.
This marks the start of a broader global deployment that is expected to continue over the coming weeks.
The update is currently being distributed to Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models that were previously enrolled in Samsung’s beta testing program. Weighing in at 566.49 MB, the firmware carries the build number S93xBXXU5BYI3. Early screenshots shared by users online confirm that the update is available and can be downloaded over-the-air through the standard software update menu.
Interestingly, Samsung’s official changelog makes no mention of new features or visible interface adjustments. Instead, the update is labeled as a stability release. While no headline additions are being advertised, users can reasonably expect behind-the-scenes refinements: performance tuning, under-the-hood bug fixes, and optimization measures that improve day-to-day usability. It is not uncommon for Samsung to understate such details in the release notes, especially when the focus is on stability rather than new functionality.
As with previous major One UI rollouts, the distribution process will happen in stages. That means not all users in the newly supported regions may receive the update immediately. The rollout typically expands in waves as Samsung monitors server loads and checks for any unforeseen issues. Those eager to check can head to Settings » Software update » Download and install on their device.
Samsung’s expansion of One UI 8 to these additional countries is a strong indicator that the update has reached a stable and mature build. If no major problems surface, more markets across Europe, Asia, and eventually North America are likely to see the update land very soon. For Galaxy S25 owners, this represents an important step toward ensuring a consistent and polished Android 16 experience worldwide.
