Freshly leaked renders of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Fan Edition (FE) have surfaced online, revealing a design that will feel instantly familiar to Galaxy fans – and possibly a chipset choice that might raise a few eyebrows.
Spotted on a UK retailer’s site, the images show the S25 FE in striking Jet Black, with other colors likely to follow. The phone’s overall look is nearly identical to the Galaxy S25 Plus, save for a slightly thicker lower bezel on the front. Expect the same flat frame and triple-camera setup on the back, echoing the rest of the S25 lineup.
The leak also backs up earlier spec rumors, but here’s the catch: the device may be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400e – the same chip used in the Galaxy S24 FE – rather than the more powerful Exynos 2400. While this keeps costs in check, performance-focused buyers may find it underwhelming.
Other expected specs are more encouraging: a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, 8GB of RAM, at least 128GB of storage, and a 4,900mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The triple-camera array is also tipped to mirror the Galaxy S24, featuring:
- 50MP main shooter with OIS
- 12MP ultra-wide lens
- 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom
Samsung is reportedly aiming for a September launch, with European pricing around €679 (roughly $789). If US pricing holds at $650, the S25 FE will go head-to-head with the more affordable Google Pixel 9a in the competitive mid-premium segment.
While Samsung’s usual launch discounts could make the S25 FE more appealing, its position between cheaper models and more powerful S25 variants raises questions. For buyers prioritizing performance over price, the Fan Edition may not be the obvious pick – unless Samsung has some surprises in store.
