Samsung has officially begun rolling out the One UI 8.0 update, based on Android 16, for its mid-range powerhouse, the Galaxy M56. The long-anticipated update brings not only a refreshed visual experience but also a collection of performance improvements and subtle yet impactful design enhancements. Initially, the update is being distributed in India and carries firmware version M566BXXU3BYI6, weighing in at approximately 1.96 GB. According to user reports from the Samsung Community, installation has been smooth, and the interface feels more responsive than before.
While the update officially rolled out in October, it surprisingly includes only the September 2025 security patch. 
Samsung is expected to issue another follow-up update soon, likely with the October patch, bringing enhanced protection against the latest vulnerabilities. Nevertheless, Galaxy M56 owners are already enjoying a taste of the future of Samsung’s software ecosystem, which continues to evolve steadily with every release.
To install One UI 8.0, users can head to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
