Samsung has quietly expanded its affordable Galaxy M-series lineup in India with the official listing of the Samsung Galaxy M07. While the phone may carry a new name, a closer look reveals it’s essentially a rebranded version of the Galaxy A07 4G, which was introduced just a couple of months ago.

Despite the familiar hardware, the M07 might still attract budget-conscious buyers thanks to Samsung’s long-term update promise and some practical everyday features.

The Galaxy M07 sports a 6.7-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The display may not compete with high-end AMOLED panels, but it should provide decent viewing quality for streaming, social media browsing, and casual gaming. Photography is handled by a dual-camera system at the back, headlined by a 50 MP main sensor supported by a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, users get an 8 MP selfie camera, making it a modest setup aimed at everyday use rather than professional photography.

Under the hood, the phone runs on the MediaTek Helio G99, a proven 4G-only chipset that has appeared in many budget and midrange devices. It’s coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD. Powering the device is a 5,000 mAh battery, promising long hours of use without frequent recharging. The phone is relatively slim at 7.6mm, carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, and keeps the much-loved 3.5mm headphone jack. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner adds a layer of security.

One of the standout commitments from Samsung is its software support: the Galaxy M07 will reportedly receive six major Android updates along with six years of security patches. This is a significant promise for an entry-level handset, giving it a strong edge in longevity compared to most rivals in the same price segment.

Currently, the Galaxy M07 appears to only be available in black. Stock hasn’t yet arrived, but Samsung’s official online store allows customers to register for availability notifications. Given that the phone mirrors the Galaxy A07 4G in almost every aspect, it’s likely positioned as a region-specific release for India under the M-series branding.

Overall, the Galaxy M07 doesn’t bring surprises, but for users seeking a simple, durable, and long-supported smartphone at a likely affordable price point, it could turn into a practical choice.
