Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Buds3 FE, positioning them as the affordable alternative in its wireless earbuds lineup. Building on the foundation of last year’s Buds FE, the new model adopts the blade-style stem and in-ear tip design seen on the Buds3 Pro.
That change alone is already splitting opinion among fans – some appreciate the more premium Pro-inspired look, while others dislike the stem aesthetic altogether.
Under the hood, the Buds3 FE aim to balance cost and features
. They come equipped with dynamic drivers and three microphones for active noise cancellation, while Bluetooth 5.4 ensures stable connectivity. Audio support covers AAC, SBC and Samsung’s Seamless Codec (SSC), which means Galaxy device owners get access to 24-bit Hi-Fi sound and spatial audio. Dual-device pairing works within the Samsung ecosystem, but the absence of Google Fast Pair or broader multipoint support has raised eyebrows.
Gesture control is fully supported with pinch and swipe actions, and Galaxy AI adds modern perks like real-time translation through Interpreter and hands-free Google Gemini access. Practical touches such as Find My Earbuds and IP54 resistance against dust and water round out the experience.
Battery life looks solid: each bud packs a 53mAh cell, while the case has 515mAh. Expect up to 6 hours of playback with ANC enabled (8.5 hours with ANC off). Combined with the charging case, totals rise to 24 and 30 hours, respectively. Charging happens exclusively through the USB-C port on the case.
The Galaxy Buds3 FE come in black or gray, with pricing at $150 / €149 / £129. Deliveries are slated to start in the first week of September, putting them in direct competition not only with other mid-range earbuds but also with Samsung’s own Buds3 Pro, which often hovers around a similar price point. That overlap will surely have buyers weighing aesthetics, sound quality, and small feature trade-offs carefully before choosing.
