Samsung is moving forward quickly with its Android 16-based One UI 8 rollout for mid-range devices, and the Galaxy A54 is once again in the spotlight.
Just two weeks after the first beta debuted, the company has now pushed out One UI 8 Beta 2, bringing new bug fixes, small refinements, and hints of upcoming features that are trickling down from flagship models.
The fresh update is currently available in India and South Korea. Indian users are receiving firmware version A546EXXUFZYI3, while South Korean users are downloading build A546SKSUCZYI4, weighing in at 298.94MB. While the size is relatively modest, the changes it carries show Samsung’s attention to polishing stability for everyday use before a wider rollout.
The official changelog highlights three primary bug fixes, each targeting specific user pain points. Samsung corrected an auto-complete behavior error that sometimes caused login or password entry frustrations, ensuring smoother form-filling experiences. The Magnifier tool, used for accessibility and precise on-screen text zoom, also gets a fix for an error that occurred in certain zoom operations. Meanwhile, a glitch in the cover screen dimming function during timed operations has been resolved, improving usability for those relying on timers or scheduled brightness adjustments.
Interestingly, Samsung is also beginning to integrate features from the upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 into older devices through its Notes app. This suggests a broader push to unify cross-device experiences across phones and tablets, strengthening the company’s ecosystem strategy. Even though the update is primarily about bug fixes, this detail hints at how Samsung intends to blur the lines between mid-range and flagship usability.
For Galaxy A54 owners eager to try One UI 8 Beta 2, updating is straightforward. Simply navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Beta builds may carry occasional instability, but they also give early access to Samsung’s latest design choices, security refinements, and cross-device functionality.
With the pace of these beta releases, it’s increasingly likely that the stable version of One UI 8 for the Galaxy A54 could arrive sooner than expected, giving mid-range users a taste of Android 16 ahead of schedule.

298MB feels small but update actually smoother now 👍
