Samsung has officially begun rolling out its much-anticipated One UI 8.0 update for the Galaxy A54 – marking the device’s third major Android and One UI upgrade since its debut. Building on the foundation of Android 16, this update delivers not only cosmetic enhancements but also a suite of functional improvements designed to make everyday use smoother, faster, and more personalized.
Initially launched in South Korea just a week ago, the rollout has rapidly expanded to several markets across Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Users in countries like France, Italy, the UK, the UAE, Malaysia, and dozens more are now starting to receive the update. It’s a significant milestone for mid-range Galaxy users, showing Samsung’s strong commitment to maintaining long-term support and parity with its premium flagships.
One UI 8 reaches Galaxy A54 users worldwide
The update carries firmware version A546BXXUFEYI4 for the SM-A546B model and A546EXXUFEYI4 for the SM-A546E variant. Weighing in at roughly 2.3GB, it also includes the September 2025 security patch, offering improved system stability and protection against the latest vulnerabilities.
For those eager to install, head to Settings → Software update → Download and install. Once the download completes, simply tap Install now to reboot and apply the upgrade. It’s recommended to back up important data before proceeding, given the size and scope of this update.
Beyond the usual performance tweaks, One UI 8 introduces a full-screen Quick Share redesign, now featuring two organized tabs for easier content management. Samsung Internet gains a refreshed interface for smoother browsing, while Modes and Routines receive new conditions and actions for deeper automation control. Enhancements also extend to Secure Folder protection, improved notification handling, smarter alarm scheduling, and more intuitive calendar and reminder management.
In essence, this update transforms the Galaxy A54 experience, blending Android 16’s system-level improvements with Samsung’s own polish. With the rollout continuing in waves, more users worldwide can expect to see the notification soon, ushering in a more refined and secure daily smartphone experience.
