Ryan Reynolds Drops Deadpool Tease for Avengers: Doomsday

Ryan Reynolds has once again stirred the Marvel pot, hinting that Deadpool might be crashing the party in next year’s Avengers: Doomsday. Early this morning, the actor posted an image of the Avengers logo defaced with Deadpool-style red graffiti-part parody, part anarchy, and all Wade Wilson.

The move instantly ignited speculation that Marvel’s foul-mouthed mercenary will join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in their next multiverse-spanning battle.

Deadpool’s last outing, Deadpool & Wolverine, was 2024’s runaway success, grossing over $1.3 billion despite its chaotic tone. With Marvel now deep into filming Avengers: Doomsday-already featuring characters from Sam Wilson’s Avengers, the Thunderbolts, the Fantastic Four, and even legacy X-Men-fans are betting hard that Reynolds is on set, slipping into his red suit once more.

There’s good reason for the buzz. Doomsday is rumored to revisit the old Fox X-Men universe, potentially reuniting Professor X, Cyclops, and Magneto. Deadpool’s chaotic energy could tie those worlds together while delivering the kind of fourth-wall-breaking chaos only he can. For Marvel, it’s not just about fan service-it’s about momentum. After a string of underperformers, Deadpool remains one of the MCU’s few recent billion-dollar draws.

While some fans welcome his return as a major plot player, others hope his appearance is just a sharp, self-aware cameo to keep the story focused. Either way, the possibility of Deadpool riffing on Doomsday’s epic crossover-while everyone else tries to hold a straight face-has many already imagining the scene. If Marvel’s looking to keep audiences talking, Reynolds may have just sprayed the perfect clue.
