Redmi Note 15 Debuts with Bigger Battery, Brighter Display and Snapdragon Power

Xiaomi has officially taken the wraps off its latest budget contender, the Redmi Note 15, launched in China alongside the Note 15 Pro and Pro+.

The new model brings a bigger battery, a brighter display, and upgraded hardware compared to the previous Note 14 5G.

The Redmi Note 15 is built around a 6.77-inch OLED panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, and an eye-searing 3,200 nits of peak brightness. An in-display fingerprint scanner adds a modern touch to security.

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Buyers can choose between four variants: 6 GB/128 GB, 8 GB/128 GB, 8 GB/256 GB, and 12 GB/256 GB. Out of the box, the phone runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

The rear camera setup features a 50 MP Light Fusion 400 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, backed by a 2 MP depth camera. On the front, an 8 MP selfie shooter handles video calls and portraits.

One of the highlights is its 5,800 mAh battery, which supports 45W wired fast charging and 18W wired reverse charging to top up other devices. Other features include IP66 dust and water resistance, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC, an IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, and full 5G support.

Color options include Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Star White. Pricing in China starts at just CNY 999 (around $140) for the 6 GB/128 GB variant, scaling up to CNY 1,499 (about $210) for the top-end 12 GB/256 GB model. The Redmi Note 15 is now available through Xiaomi’s official online store.
