Xiaomi is once again grabbing headlines, this time by being the first to unveil the brand-new Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset.
Redmi Note 15 Pro+ debuts Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 with a massive 7000mAh battery
The upcoming Redmi Note 15 Pro+, launching in China tomorrow, will debut Qualcomm’s latest 7-series processor, paired with a 5,200mm² vapor chamber for improved cooling.

The Note 15 Pro+ isn’t just about performance, though. Redmi has packed in a massive 7,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, claiming up to 1,600 charge cycles before noticeable wear. This directly addresses the long-standing complaint of weaker endurance on the Pro+ line, making it one of the most battery-focused midrange phones to date.

The display is equally eye-catching: a 6.83-inch 1.5K panel pushing up to 3,200 nits brightness, shielded by Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass. For audio, stereo speakers can hit up to 82.5dB, with a special 400% volume boost mode.

On the camera side, the Pro+ will feature a 50MP OmniVision Light Hunter 800 sensor and a telephoto shooter with 2.5x optical zoom. Xiaomi has already teased sample shots, positioning the device as a balanced all-rounder for photos and performance.

Still, opinions remain split among enthusiasts. Some praise the sheer specs, while others criticize Qualcomm’s confusing ‘s’ naming strategy, arguing that the 7s Gen 4 feels more like a minor revision of its predecessor than a true leap. Fans outside China are also cautious, remembering how the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ lost key features like the telephoto camera in its global version.

Despite the debate, the Note 15 Pro+ represents one of the boldest attempts in the midrange space this year – a device that could redefine expectations with sheer battery life, charging flexibility, and a display bright enough to rival premium flagships.

Good to see they fixed the weak battery life from last year’s Pro+. Solid midranger now
