The RedMagic 11 is shaping up to be one of the boldest gaming smartphones of 2025. What makes it remarkable isn’t just the raw power – it’s the fact that it manages to keep its signature cooling fan while still earning an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.

That’s a first in the industry, and a clear leap forward from the RedMagic 10 Pro, which looked great and performed like a beast, but skipped protection entirely.

The phone is expected to launch in China this November, with a global rollout in December. At its core, the RedMagic 11 will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2, the same powerhouse chip Samsung is planning for the Galaxy S26 series after its in-house Exynos 2600 hit roadblocks. Benchmarks already suggest jaw-dropping performance, setting the stage for one of the most powerful gaming phones ever.

Fans of the RedMagic series already know these devices consistently punch above their weight – delivering specs and display quality that rival pricier flagships. The RedMagic 10 Pro, for instance, offered a gorgeous cutout-free display that’s still rare to see. The new generation promises to keep that immersive design while fixing the one tradeoff gamers had to accept: no water resistance. With IP68 protection, that compromise is gone.

The RedMagic 11 is more than just a spec upgrade – it signals a shift. If Nubia can marry active cooling fans with full IP ratings, then maybe it’s time for the rest of the industry to catch up. And for those of us tired of camera cutouts ruining screens, this might just be the year displays start looking clean again.
