PlayStation has officially lifted the curtain on its PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup for October 2025, confirming what fans had been buzzing about all week – and even adding a few surprises. The highlight is undoubtedly Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team’s chilling reimagining of the legendary psychological horror classic, now set to arrive for all PS Plus Extra subscribers.
This announcement alone would have made the month noteworthy, but PlayStation decided to go all-in on atmospheric thrills and narrative-driven experiences.
Accompanying the haunting return of James Sunderland’s nightmare is the 2024 remake of Until Dawn, rebuilt for PS5 with new visuals and tighter storytelling. Horror fans will also get V Rising, a survival action game that lets players awaken as vampires in a dark gothic world, and As Dusk Falls, an award-winning narrative adventure about family, choices, and the long-lasting consequences of split-second decisions.
The Dealabs leak from earlier this week correctly predicted most of this lineup, but PlayStation had some extra tricks up its sleeve. New additions not mentioned in the leak include Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the beloved turn-based RPG that marked a fresh direction for the long-running series, the eerie Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, and the stylish twin-stick shooter Wizard with a Gun. It’s a mix of horror, humor, and high-stakes storytelling that fits perfectly with the Halloween season.
PS Plus Premium subscribers have something nostalgic to look forward to as well: Tekken 3, the legendary PlayStation fighter that defined an era, is entering the Classics Catalogue. The entire lineup drops on October 21, 2025, giving players a packed roster of games to explore as the nights grow longer.
With Alan Wake 2 launching in the same window and an unmistakable focus on dark, eerie atmospheres, October is shaping up to be a celebration of all things horror on PlayStation. Whether you’re reliving a psychological nightmare in Silent Hill or facing twisted choices in Until Dawn, this month’s PS Plus offerings prove that PlayStation knows exactly how to keep players up at night.
