Poco has just unveiled the M7 4G, bringing a familiar set of specs to the table. This new device arrives alongside the M7 Plus, offering a budget-friendly alternative to the M7 5G, which launched earlier this year. Currently available in Poland, the Poco M7 4G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685 SoC, a chip designed for 4G devices. The phone comes in two variants: one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and another with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

It also supports expandable storage with microSD cards up to 2TB.

The display is a 6.9-inch LCD screen, boasting a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. With a 144Hz refresh rate, a 288Hz touch sampling rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 850 nits, the screen promises smooth visuals and clarity, even under bright conditions. On the camera side, the Poco M7 4G features a 50MP rear sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, capable of shooting 1080p video. The front camera, housed in a punch-hole design, is an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, also supporting 1080p video recording.

Powering the M7 4G is a massive 7,000mAh battery, designed to keep the device going through long hours of use. The phone also supports 33W wired fast charging, although, like the M7 Plus, it doesn’t come with a charger in the box (at least in Europe). For security, the M7 4G includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and features IP64 dust and water resistance. The device runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 and measures 171.08 x 82.05 x 8.55 mm, weighing in at 224g.

If these specs sound familiar, that’s because they closely mirror those of the recently released Redmi 15 4G. While the Poco M7 4G offers a solid feature set for its price, it doesn’t do much to stand out in a market already saturated with similar devices. Nevertheless, it provides a good option for those looking for a reliable budget smartphone.
