Oppo Find X9 Pro Gets Hasselblad Imaging Kit and Record-Breaking Battery

Oppo is gearing up to shake up the premium smartphone segment once again, and this time the company is betting big on photography. The upcoming Oppo Find X9 Pro will arrive with an optional Hasselblad imaging kit – a bold collaboration designed to elevate mobile photography to a semi-professional level. Unlike generic third-party add-ons, this accessory is being co-developed by Oppo and Hasselblad, ensuring tighter hardware-software integration and a level of quality assurance that sets it apart.

According to Zhou Yibao, Oppo’s Find Series Product Lead, the actual imaging kit won’t resemble the speculative leaks circulating online.

Instead, buyers can expect something more refined and practical, engineered specifically for the Find X9 Pro. Interestingly, Oppo is also extending attention to the standard Find X9 model. In a rare move for the industry, the company is preparing video-centric accessories for the vanilla version as well, giving non-Pro buyers more reasons to consider the device beyond just affordability.

Specs-wise, the Find X9 Pro is rumored to feature a massive 7,500 mAh battery while still keeping its profile at just 8.25mm thick, a balance that will appeal to power users who dislike bulky phones. The regular Find X9 is no slouch either, with a 7,025 mAh battery. Both devices are said to sport ultra-thin bezels – possibly the thinnest ever on a smartphone – and will launch with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, offering the latest in Oppo’s software experience.

What makes this release particularly intriguing is Oppo’s strategy within the larger BBK ecosystem. Vivo has already experimented with its own Photography Kit for the X200 Ultra, though many critics dismissed it as generic in quality. Oppo, however, appears to be aiming higher, signaling that the Find X9 Pro’s Hasselblad partnership could bring a different standard – one closer to what Xiaomi has achieved with its premium imaging collaborations. Another noteworthy point is the absence of an Ultra model in the Find X9 lineup, which some enthusiasts find refreshing. Instead of bloating the range, Oppo seems to be refining its focus on two distinct tiers: the Pro with its flagship features and the vanilla model with serious accessory support.

The bigger question now is availability. Fans are hoping Oppo won’t limit these innovations to China alone. Previous Find devices like the Find X8 and X8 Pro did receive a wider rollout, and there is cautious optimism that the same strategy will apply this time. In markets like Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines, demand for high-spec Pro models remains strong. If Oppo delivers on battery life, bezel design, and the promised Hasselblad kit, the Find X9 Pro could position itself as one of the most compelling smartphones of 2025.
