Oppo’s Find X9 and Find X9 Pro are officially crossing borders, stepping into Europe after their recent unveiling in China. The international debut is set for Barcelona next week, with an Indian launch following in November. 
And while the specs remain the same as their Chinese siblings, it’s the pricing that’s turning heads – and not all in a good way.
The standard Oppo Find X9 with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will reportedly cost €999, roughly converting to CNY8,270 or $1,160. Meanwhile, the Find X9 Pro in the same configuration is expected to hit the shelves at €1,299 – about CNY10,755 or $1,510. That’s a noticeable hike compared to Chinese pricing, and the difference hasn’t gone unnoticed among fans and critics alike.
Some enthusiasts argue that these European prices are somewhat justified – Oppo’s maintaining the same large battery capacity as in its domestic model, unlike some rivals who quietly trim specs for export. Others, however, see these figures as overly ambitious for a phone powered by a MediaTek chip, competing against the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S24 or Apple’s iPhone 15 lineup. The debate has sparked comparisons with other flagships such as the Pixel 10 Pro, which starts at €1,199 but offers a different user experience and brand prestige.
Still, not everyone’s writing Oppo off just yet. The Find X9 series has impressed many with its display quality, sleek build, and versatile camera setup. The Pro model in particular is shaping up as a true all-rounder, featuring premium design and high-end imaging hardware. But whether that’s enough to sway European buyers who traditionally lean toward the big two – Samsung and Apple – remains to be seen. Oppo’s confidence in pricing may indicate it believes its brand is ready to play in the major league, even if that means alienating price-sensitive customers.
