Oppo has officially unveiled the F31 Pro and F31 Pro+ in India, positioning them as durable mid-range smartphones designed for people who demand long battery life and solid build quality.
While the standard F31 is still missing from the lineup, the two models revealed today already give us a clear sense of Oppo’s focus: resilience, endurance, and bright AMOLED displays.
The Oppo F31 Pro arrives in Space Grey and Desert Gold, boasting a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with a crisp 1080×2372 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits – ideal for outdoor use. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, offering efficiency with enough horsepower for everyday multitasking. The device features a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 2 MP monochrome sensor, and a 32 MP selfie camera. Most importantly, it carries a massive 7,000 mAh battery with blazing-fast 80W charging, making it one of the few phones in its class where battery anxiety should be nonexistent. Dimensions stand at 158.2 x 75 x 8.1 mm with a weight of 191g. Oppo highlights its triple IP rating (IP66, IP68, and IP69) and its new 360-degree Armour Body that aims to protect against drops, dust, and water. Prices start at INR 26,999 for 8/128GB, climbing to INR 30,999 for the top 12/256GB option.
The F31 Pro+, on the other hand, is clearly Oppo’s star. It stretches the display to 6.79 inches with an enhanced 1280×2800 resolution, keeps the 120Hz/240Hz refresh and sampling rates, and increases peak brightness to 1,600 nits. Unlike the Pro, it’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, promising a stronger balance between gaming performance and power efficiency. Aside from this, the specs closely mirror its sibling, including the same camera setup and 7,000 mAh battery. Offered in Festival Pink, Himalayan White, and Gemstone Blue, it measures 163.1 x 77.6 x 7.9 mm and weighs 204g. The Pro+ is priced at INR 32,999 for 8/256GB and INR 34,999 for 12/256GB. Oppo also adds an extra layer of reassurance with free accidental and liquid damage protection for six months across both models.
However, some questions linger over software support. Oppo traditionally provides just two years of OS upgrades and three years of security patches. That’s seen as underwhelming compared to industry leaders now promising four years of Android updates and up to five years of security fixes. Early buyers also point out that the F31 series launches with an OS that’s already one year behind, effectively meaning users may only get one true upgrade. For smartphones that are built to last in hardware, the limited software future remains a weak spot.
