The upcoming OnePlus 15 is shaping up to be a significant step forward for the brand, and recent certification details hint at some impressive upgrades. While the OnePlus 13 already won praise for offering 100W wired charging, its successor looks set to raise the bar. A device carrying the model number CPH2747 has passed TÜV certification, a strong indicator that it belongs to the global edition of the OnePlus 15.
Chinese models usually carry the ‘PLK’ designation, making the distinction quite clear.
The certification confirms that this new device will support 120W wired charging – a 20% boost over the OnePlus 13. If accurate, this places the OnePlus 15 among the fastest-charging mainstream flagships, a feature that is increasingly important for heavy users who want to minimize downtime. Coupled with the rumored 7,000 mAh battery, the device promises both stamina and speed, creating a rare balance in the smartphone market. Wireless charging also gets an upgrade, jumping to 50W, which is significantly above the industry’s typical 15W–30W range.
Beyond charging, the OnePlus 15 is expected to pack cutting-edge hardware. Powering the phone will be Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a chip that is projected to lead the market in both efficiency and raw performance. Storage options are rumored to scale up to a massive 1TB, paired with as much as 16GB of RAM – configurations aimed at power users, gamers, and professionals who rely on their phones for demanding multitasking. The display is set to impress as well: a 6.78-inch flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a blazing 165Hz refresh rate. This combination promises both sharp visuals and fluid motion, appealing to those who prioritize media consumption and gaming experiences.
Photography is another area where the OnePlus 15 aims to compete at the highest level. The rear camera system is tipped to feature three 50 MP sensors, including a periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. These will be housed in a distinctive squircle-shaped island placed on the upper-left section of the back panel. If executed well, this setup could rival some of the best camera phones on the market. Meanwhile, color options are expected to include black, purple, and a striking Titanium variant, broadening appeal to both conservative and adventurous buyers.
The launch strategy seems clear: OnePlus will debut the device in China this October, with a global release to follow shortly afterward. Given the competitive pricing history of the company, the OnePlus 15 could become a top contender in the flagship space, especially if its charging speed and battery life outpace rivals like Samsung and Xiaomi.
