NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang recently made headlines during his visit to Taiwan, where he praised TSMC as the bedrock of the AI revolution.
In a conversation with local media, Huang called anyone who buys TSMC shares a ‘smart person,’ noting that the company will be operating at full throttle in the months to come.
TSMC is not only NVIDIA’s most vital manufacturing partner but also the force behind every one of Team Green’s modern architectures. Huang repeatedly emphasized that NVIDIA’s success is tightly linked with TSMC’s ability to deliver cutting-edge chips on schedule. He revealed that Rubin, the company’s next-generation AI platform, is already under trial production, while Blackwell Ultra has successfully completed production runs, thanks to TSMC’s engineering.
During his Taiwan stop, Huang personally thanked TSMC leadership for their ongoing collaboration, highlighting that six Rubin chips are currently in preparation, including a Vera Rubin CPU, a new GPU, and multiple networking components – all made possible through the Taiwan foundry’s capabilities. Huang made it clear that no other partner currently matches TSMC’s scale and reliability, and that the partnership will remain crucial for years to come, especially as TSMC expands its footprint in the United States.
As the AI race accelerates, NVIDIA has become TSMC’s biggest customer, cementing a partnership that is shaping the future of global computing. Yet, while the optimism is high, concerns around geopolitical risks and production yields continue to spark heated debate among investors and tech watchers.
