Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, under Xbox Game Studios, have officially revealed the PC system requirements for Ninja Gaiden 4, and the news will make plenty of fans happy: this game won’t demand top-tier hardware to enjoy. In fact, its minimum specs list the trusty GTX 1060, a GPU that launched nearly a decade ago, as enough to run the game at 1080p/30FPS with low settings and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) set to Quality.
For smoother performance, the recommended setup bumps things to 1080p/60FPS at medium settings, requiring an RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 5700XT. Interestingly, the developers are leaning heavily on FSR, but the options are labeled only as “Low” and “Middle” instead of the more typical Performance or Balanced modes, raising a few eyebrows among PC players.
Unlike the Unreal Engine 5 remake of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, the new installment runs on PlatinumGames’ proprietary engine.
This decision reflects the studio’s focus on performance and responsiveness over cutting-edge visuals, ensuring that players can execute precise combos without latency issues – a crucial element for a high-speed action series like Ninja Gaiden.
The title was playable for the first time at Gamescom 2025, where it impressed long-time fans with its fluid combat and faithful design philosophy. The full release is set for October 21, launching simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
