James Stephen ‘Jimmy’ Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, has already transformed YouTube into his personal empire with daring stunts, jaw-dropping giveaways, and a thriving portfolio of businesses ranging from Feastables chocolate bars to viral game show productions.

Now, he appears to be setting his sights on one of the most competitive industries in the United States: mobile phone services.

According to documents reportedly leaked and reviewed by Business Insider, MrBeast is preparing to launch his own mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) by 2026. An MVNO doesn’t build its own infrastructure like Verizon or AT&T but instead piggybacks off existing carrier networks, offering customers cheaper plans under a branded experience. Mint Mobile famously followed this path before being acquired by T-Mobile for $1.35 billion. By adopting this model, MrBeast could sidestep the billions of dollars typically required to establish a nationwide network, focusing instead on branding, affordability, and community loyalty – three areas where he already dominates.

Industry insiders suggest that T-Mobile, which has collaborated with MrBeast in the past, is a likely first partner. If so, subscribers might soon be signing up for a service that carries the same ethos as his YouTube channel: generous, fan-focused, and a little bit unconventional. Think special perks tied to his challenges, crossovers with Feastables, or even discounts linked to his gaming initiatives.

What makes this move more intriguing is that the phone service may only be the beginning. The leaked investor deck hints that Donaldson is also exploring fintech solutions and mobile gaming projects. His empire could expand from snacks and viral content into finance apps and entertainment ecosystems, further cementing his presence across industries.

Not every venture has been a straightforward money-maker – his reality competition show, for instance, lost around $80 million, largely due to his insistence on high production quality. Yet this willingness to reinvest for the long term has earned him a reputation as a creator who prioritizes scale and impact over quick profit. With Feastables reportedly generating $250 million in sales already, MrBeast has demonstrated that his reach extends far beyond viral videos. If his phone service follows the same trajectory, the traditional telecom industry might have to brace for a very unconventional disruptor.

MVNO is basically rent-a-network, you pay for the brand not the tech
