Motorola has unveiled two new additions to its popular G-series lineup: the Moto G06 and the Moto G06 Power. The highlight of the launch is undoubtedly the Moto G06 Power, which sets a new benchmark for Motorola smartphones with its enormous 7,000mAh battery – the largest ever on a Moto device. This massive cell is designed for endurance, with the company claiming up to 28 hours of continuous video playback on a single charge. Even more reassuring for long-term users, Motorola promises the battery will maintain 80% of its health after 1,000 charge cycles, suggesting durability over years of usage. However, while the capacity is impressive, charging support is capped at 18W, which feels modest compared to the huge battery size.

The standard Moto G06 still offers plenty of stamina with its 5,200mAh battery, though charging speeds are slower at 10W.

Both phones share the same core hardware features. They sport a large 6.88-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution, boasting a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and brightness levels up to 600 nits. Protection is handled by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, ensuring resistance to scratches and everyday wear.

Performance is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G81 chipset, paired with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM and internal storage options ranging from 64GB up to 256GB. Users can also expand storage via microSD cards, making these devices flexible for different needs. Photography is covered by a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP selfie shooter. Both phones also include IP64-rated water and dust protection, stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, and a 3.5mm headphone jack – a feature still valued by many.

In terms of style, Motorola emphasizes Pantone-certified colors. The Moto G06 is available in Arabesque, Tapestry, and Tendril finishes, while the Moto G06 Power comes in Laurel Oak and Tapestry. These shades aim to combine trendy aesthetics with Motorola’s practical design philosophy. Despite the full unveiling of specifications, Motorola has not yet revealed pricing or availability details, leaving potential buyers waiting for the final piece of the puzzle.
