Megan Fox is officially joining the eerie world of animatronic horror. At New York Comic Con 2025, Blumhouse confirmed that the Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star will lend her voice to Toy Chica in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, the hotly anticipated sequel to last year’s hit adaptation.
The studio also revealed a chilling new poster, teasing a darker tone and more complex lore behind Freddy Fazbear’s haunted restaurant.
Toy Chica, one of the game’s most iconic and unsettling characters, is described as a yellow animatronic chicken with an orange beak and feet, wearing a bib emblazoned with “Let’s Party!” and pink shorts. She has bright blue eyes that turn pitch-black when she becomes hostile – a design choice that mirrors the creepy unpredictability that made the franchise so famous. According to the game’s mechanics, when Toy Chica appears in the Right Air Vent, players must quickly put on their mask to survive the encounter. Fox’s intense, sultry voice is expected to bring both charm and menace to the role, adding psychological depth to the character’s dual personality.
Fox joins an impressive ensemble that includes MatPat as Toy Bonnie and Kellen Goff – a veteran of the series’ game franchise – voicing Toy Freddy. Returning cast members Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Skeet Ulrich, Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, and Teo Briones round out the familiar faces, all under the direction of Emma Tammi, who helmed the first film’s breakout success. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will hit theaters on December 5th, continuing Blumhouse’s streak of blending nostalgia, horror, and fan service for a new generation of players and moviegoers alike.
As NYCC buzzed with reveals, fans also got first looks at other big titles like Chris Pratt’s sci-fi thriller Mercy, Invincible: Season 4, The Mighty Nein, and the return of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – but it was Fox’s unexpected casting as Toy Chica that stole the show and ignited a wave of online debate about whether she can deliver the right mix of fear and fun for this animatronic nightmare.
