Marvel Rivals is about to get a major update with the introduction of its first-ever PvE mode, launching on October 23. This new mode is set to take inspiration from the hit Marvel Zombies animated miniseries, which recently debuted on Disney+ on September 24. 
The upcoming addition to Marvel Rivals promises to deliver an exhilarating experience for players who enjoy thrilling PvE (Player vs. Environment) challenges.
In this exciting new mode, players will have the opportunity to team up in 6v6 battles against hordes of zombies. You can take control of some of Marvel’s most iconic heroes, including Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff the Land Shark, and The Punisher. Each character comes with unique abilities, giving players the chance to strategize and maximize their combat effectiveness in a zombie apocalypse scenario.
The gameplay centers around surviving wave after wave of relentless zombies. To keep things fresh and challenging, players will encounter powerful bosses like zombie versions of Namor and the Queen of the Dead. These tough opponents will require not only good strategy but also quick reflexes and combat skills to defeat. As the world is slowly being overtaken by zombies, it will be up to the players to battle for survival and prevent total zombification.
In addition to these exciting PvE elements, Marvel Rivals will feature the usual over-the-top action and iconic superhero powers that fans know and love. For instance, you can charge through zombies as Jeff the Land Shark, slice through enemies using Blade’s lethal Moon Blades, or unleash Thor’s full power in his Awakened state. Meanwhile, Magik’s Darkchild form allows her to go berserk and obliterate enemies without restraint. The game is sure to offer a variety of playstyles and challenges to keep things interesting.
Marvel Rivals has been receiving steady updates, with Season 4.5, titled ‘Heart of the Dragon’, already underway. The update brought much-needed features, such as cross-platform progression, allowing players to maintain their progress across different platforms. Additionally, the 43rd playable character, Daredevil, was introduced, who is a high-damage Duelist with incredible mobility. Daredevil also boasts a team-up ability with The Punisher, further enhancing the game’s dynamics.
While the PvE mode promises to be an exciting new addition, the details are still unfolding.
