King of the Hill Season 14 Revival Breaks Records on Hulu

King of the Hill has come back swinging, and audiences are clearly here for it. The long-awaited Season 14 revival on Hulu pulled in a massive 4.4 million viewers in just its first week, making it the biggest adult animated season premiere for both Hulu and Disney+ since 2020.

Variety reports that Episode 1 alone shot straight to the top of Hulu’s charts and has been holding steady in the platform’s Top 5 ever since its August 4, 2025 release.

The new season returns fans to Arlen, Texas, with the Hill family a little older but still unmistakably themselves. Mike Judge and Greg Daniels have brought back the warmth, humor, and propane-fueled charm that made the series a classic, while introducing subtle updates that feel organic rather than forced. Critics have praised it as a ‘dazzling return to form,’ with our own review calling it nothing short of a masterpiece. Even small callbacks-like Bobby’s knowing look about Joseph’s parentage from way back in Season 1-are delighting longtime fans.

Disney’s also seeing a ripple effect: viewership for Seasons 1–13 has jumped by 26 million hours since early March, a 41% increase in subscribers revisiting or discovering the original run. That’s no small feat for a show that’s been off the air for 15 years. Fans are praising the revival for staying true to the characters and their growth without overloading the story with out-of-place modern references or heavy-handed political messaging. Of course, not all changes are landing perfectly-Khan’s recast voice has sparked debate-but overall the reception has been overwhelmingly positive.

All 10 episodes of Season 14 are now streaming, marking the end of a long wait for fans. Whether Season 15 will happen remains uncertain, but if these numbers are anything to go by, it’s not a matter of if-just when.
