The upcoming iQOO 15 Ultra looks set to redefine what a gaming smartphone can do, blending hardcore performance with real-world productivity in a way that could make it the most ambitious iQOO device yet. Following the launch of the iQOO 15 in China, attention has already shifted to this new, more powerful variant that aims to push the boundaries of mobile performance. Although the official name remains under wraps, the company’s VP of Products, Luo Feng, confirmed that a higher-tier model is in the works – one that will stand above the iQOO 15 and even the Pro models.
Described internally as a “gaming productivity tool,” the iQOO 15 Ultra will reportedly feature top-of-the-line hardware designed for both gamers and power users.
It’s expected to sport the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a QHD+ display possibly larger than 7 inches, and an active cooling system to keep temperatures low during marathon gaming sessions. Some sources hint at dedicated gaming triggers, better haptics, and improved stereo speakers to enhance immersion. iQOO seems determined to balance entertainment with work efficiency – a curious mix that might make sense if the Ultra comes with high refresh rates, robust battery life, and serious multitasking capabilities.
Battery expectations are also sky-high. Rumors suggest a 9200mAh battery – a significant jump from the iQOO 15’s 7200mAh – paired with 120W fast charging and wireless support. The design may include RGB lighting elements around the camera module, a detail that could give it a distinct gaming identity. However, not everyone is convinced this “Ultra” model truly embraces gaming roots, as some fans note the lack of classic gaming elements like physical triggers or shoulder buttons found on phones such as ASUS’s ROG series.
Whether this device arrives next quarter or later in 2025 remains uncertain. But one thing is clear – iQOO is aiming to create a phone that appeals not just to gamers but to anyone wanting an all-in-one powerhouse for entertainment, creativity, and productivity. If the company delivers on these promises, the iQOO 15 Ultra could mark a defining moment in the brand’s evolution toward full-fledged flagship dominance.

Honestly, the 15 was already super efficient. Kinda feels like overkill but I’m curious 👀
