After weeks of teasers and speculation, iQOO has finally confirmed that the much-anticipated iQOO 15 will make its grand debut on October 20 at an event in Shenzhen, China, kicking off at 7 PM local time. The company didn’t just reveal the launch date – it also unveiled a stunning palette of four color options, including a model that features a fascinating color-changing back panel, sure to catch attention among design enthusiasts.
While the full specifications remain under wraps, iQOO previously disclosed several headline features that set the stage for a powerhouse release.
The iQOO 15 will be driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset – the latest flagship processor designed to deliver unprecedented speed and efficiency. It will run OriginOS 6 out of the box and showcase a massive 6.85-inch 2K display with a blazing-fast 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring buttery-smooth visuals for gaming and media consumption.
To push gaming even further, the device will include a Q3 gaming chip for enhanced performance optimization. iQOO has also confirmed IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, suggesting a robust design that can handle the elements. Wireless charging support adds another layer of premium convenience. Fans are also speculating whether the global version – expected by early December – will retain OriginOS instead of shifting to Funtouch OS, which has historically powered international iQOO models.
At the same Shenzhen event, iQOO will also introduce an entire ecosystem of new products: the iQOO Pad5e tablet powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the iQOO Watch GT 2 smartwatch, and the iQOO TWS 5 earphones. Tech enthusiasts have already begun comparing the upcoming Pad5e’s size to recent oversized tablets, wishing for something more compact and portable. With such an ambitious lineup, October 20 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting days of the year for iQOO fans.
As anticipation builds, the iQOO 15’s mix of premium performance, color-shifting aesthetics, and durability could redefine expectations for 2025 flagship phones – especially if the company manages to keep its aggressive pricing strategy intact.
