The upcoming iQOO 15 is shaping up to be one of the most visually impressive smartphones of the year, thanks to its cutting-edge display technology. Set to debut in China on October 20, before reaching global markets next month, the device’s screen specs have now been officially unveiled – and they’re nothing short of extraordinary.

The iQOO 15 features a Samsung Display panel crafted using the advanced M14 material, the same technology reportedly destined for Samsung’s future Galaxy S26 Ultra.

This next-gen material delivers a remarkable 40% boost in luminous efficiency, cuts power consumption by 44%, extends panel lifespan by 50%, and reduces motion blur by a stunning 60%. That means sharper visuals, smoother motion, and lower energy drain – a trifecta rarely achieved in mobile displays.

The display itself offers a crisp 2K resolution and achieves up to 1,000 nits in manual brightness mode. But it’s the automatic mode that’s truly jaw-dropping, peaking at an incredible 6,000 nits. That’s bright enough to remain perfectly visible even under direct sunlight. iQOO also touts an impressive Delta E of 0.27 for color accuracy, alongside 118% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut – ensuring vivid, lifelike colors across every frame.

Perhaps most interestingly, this display drops the traditional polarizer altogether. Instead, it adopts an unpolarized design that not only improves visibility when wearing polarized sunglasses but also enhances eye comfort. According to iQOO, this shift reduces symptoms such as dry or fatigued eyes by over 50% compared to conventional screens. The panel can dim down to just 1 nit for nighttime comfort and supports full-spectrum DC dimming, with 2160Hz PWM dimming handling lower brightness levels by default. Users can also enable DC dimming manually if they prefer constant flicker-free operation.

While the iQOO 15’s battery capacity hasn’t reached the levels seen in some rivals, the display itself clearly sets a new standard for efficiency and visual refinement. Between Samsung’s material innovations and iQOO’s implementation, this screen could easily redefine expectations for flagship smartphones in 2025.
