The upcoming iQOO 15 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious flagship smartphones of the year, blending raw performance with cutting-edge camera tech and massive battery life. The brand has already teased impressive telephoto camera samples on Weibo, highlighting the potential of its new periscope zoom system that promises up to 100x digital zoom.

This move directly addresses one of the few criticisms of the iQOO 13, which lacked a truly competitive telephoto option.

From what’s confirmed so far, the iQOO 15 will launch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. The device will also pack a 6.85-inch AMOLED display featuring QHD resolution and a silky-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. For gamers, the inclusion of a dedicated Q3 gaming chip should help deliver stable frame rates and improved thermal management. Wireless charging and a color-changing back panel round out the futuristic design touches.

Perhaps the most eye-catching leak comes from tipster Digital Chat Station, who claims the phone will house a 7,000 mAh battery with support for blazing-fast 100W wired charging. If accurate, that would make the iQOO 15 one of the highest-capacity flagships on the market, ensuring multi-day endurance without sacrificing top-tier performance. The camera setup is rumored to include a 50MP periscope telephoto and a 50MP main sensor with a large 1/1.5-inch size, likely enabling superior low-light photography.

What’s equally interesting is how the iQOO 15 compares to its rivals. Enthusiasts are already drawing parallels to the upcoming OnePlus 15, which is expected to share similar core hardware but may appeal to those preferring ColorOS and wider global band support. Meanwhile, contenders like the Redmi K90 Pro are also rumored to add periscope zoom and symmetrical speakers, creating a fiercely competitive landscape for Chinese sub-brand flagships in late 2025.

Although an official release date hasn’t been confirmed, expectations point to an October debut in China, with further details and global availability to follow. With its combination of massive battery, gaming focus, and advanced imaging, the iQOO 15 could become one of the most well-rounded flagships of the season.
