Apple has officially kicked off pre-orders for its newest lineup of devices, and the spotlight is on the iPhone 17 series and the brand-new iPhone Air. Following their unveiling earlier this week, both smartphones are now available for customers in the first wave of 63 countries, including major markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Türkiye, the UAE, and Vietnam, among others.
The company is making all four models available from day one: the standard iPhone 17, the lightweight and sleek iPhone Air, the performance-driven iPhone 17 Pro, and the powerhouse iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Pre-orders can be placed directly via Apple’s official website, with deliveries in these initial countries scheduled to begin on September 19. One important change across the entire lineup is that every model now starts at a minimum of 256GB storage, which marks a shift from Apple’s past entry-level configurations.
Pricing varies across regions, and Apple has already detailed the base prices in key markets. In the US, the iPhone 17 starts at $799, while the iPhone Air is priced at $999. The Pro edition comes in at $1,099, with the larger Pro Max costing $1,199. Similar structured pricing applies globally: in Germany, the iPhone 17 begins at €949, and in the UK it starts at £799. India, one of Apple’s fastest-growing markets, sees the iPhone 17 priced at ₹82,900. Meanwhile, in China, the base model will cost ¥5,999, and in Japan, the entry iPhone 17 starts at ¥129,800.
Alongside the phones, Apple is also rolling out pre-orders for its updated wearables and accessories. These include the Apple Watch Series 11, the more affordable Watch SE 3, the rugged Watch Ultra 3, and the next-generation AirPods Pro 3. For fans outside of the first wave, Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 17 lineup and iPhone Air will reach an additional 22 countries starting September 26, expanding global availability before the holiday season.
The announcement not only reinforces Apple’s global strategy but also shows a push to standardize higher storage capacities and deliver a broader range of devices catering to different user needs – from lightweight design enthusiasts to those demanding pro-level features. With the combination of new smartphones, watches, and AirPods, Apple is gearing up for one of its biggest launch cycles in years.
