Fresh leaks have surfaced just weeks before Apple’s expected iPhone 17 launch, revealing the sizes of the upcoming models through alleged screen protector images shared by tipster Majin Bu.
The leak shows that the standard iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro will both sport a 6.3-inch display – a notable upgrade that brings the base model in line with its Pro sibling for the first time.
Meanwhile, the new iPhone 17 Air is set to feature a 6.6-inch panel, making it slightly smaller than the outgoing iPhone 16 Plus (6.7 inches) but still offering more real estate than the standard 17 models. Positioned between the smaller variants and the Pro Max, the Air could be Apple’s sweet spot for those wanting a bigger screen without the full bulk.
Rumors suggest both the iPhone 17 and 17 Air will finally get 120Hz OLED displays. However, unlike the Pro models, these won’t be ProMotion panels – meaning no LTPO tech and no Always-On Display. This move could still offer a visibly smoother experience without dipping into premium territory.
As expected, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will retain its massive 6.9-inch display, keeping its crown as the biggest in the lineup. While hardware upgrades are still under wraps, speculation runs wild about battery capacity, RAM, and chipsets – with some fans worrying about Apple sticking with 8GB of RAM and the A18 chip, while others are eager to see whether the bezels will get a surprising trim even for the base models.
