iPhone 17 Pro Could Get Sleeker Design and Enhanced Connectivity

The upcoming iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to feature a sleeker, more refined design alongside upgraded connectivity.

According to reliable leaker Majin Bu, Apple may take inspiration from the Apple Watch Ultra by integrating antennas into the device’s larger camera island instead of the side frame.

Currently, iPhone antennas are built into the frame, where they remain visible and can be obstructed by a user’s hand – impacting 5G and Wi-Fi 7 performance. Cases and internal metal parts can further disrupt signal quality. By relocating the antennas around the expanded camera module, Apple could improve signal reception, especially in crowded urban areas, while reducing latency for faster streaming and data transfers.

This move would also result in cleaner side edges with fewer breaks, potentially freeing up space for other hardware, such as enhanced thermal systems. The design shift is expected to boost both functionality and aesthetics.

While Majin Bu’s predictions are often accurate, they’re not infallible, so it’s wise to treat this information cautiously. Still, the iPhone 17 Pro seems poised for a notable upgrade – pairing a redesigned rear with an improved camera system, a faster chipset, and possibly a higher price tag compared to the iPhone 16 Pro.
