The bulky case shows a pronounced raised island at the top for the redesigned camera setup, matching earlier leaks but now backed by precise case maker dimensions. Alongside the new camera island, the case confirms placements for the Camera Control button, Action button, and traditional power and volume keys.
While the rugged Tank case hides finer design details – something case makers rarely have access to – its tough aesthetic transforms the shiny iPhone into a serious, work-ready device. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to launch next month, alongside the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air.
For those hoping the extra case bulk hides a massive battery upgrade, industry whispers suggest only a minor capacity bump over the iPhone 16 Pro Max – around 50mAh – which might leave some power users rolling their eyes. Still, Apple is likely to tout the change as a win, as it often does with incremental improvements.
