Infinix is gearing up to release the Hot 60i 5G, bringing a faster, next-gen upgrade to its mid-range lineup.
Following the Hot 60i 4G launch in July, the 5G model will officially debut on August 16, as confirmed by the brand and highlighted on a dedicated Flipkart microsite.
Under the hood, the Hot 60i 5G packs the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, promising a performance bump over its predecessor-and even outperforming the Hot 60 Pro+ in raw processing power, according to some early reactions. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which some fans feel is on the lean side, wishing for at least 6GB to match the performance potential of the SoC.
The device sports a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. While the refresh rate is impressive for the segment, critics argue that an FHD+ AMOLED panel would have elevated the experience-though such upgrades are likely reserved for pricier “Pro” variants.
Other highlights include a 50MP rear camera, IP64-rated dust and water resistance, and a massive 6,000mAh battery. On the software side, it ships with Android 15 layered with Infinix’s XOS 15, alongside a suite of AI-enhanced features.
The Hot 60i 5G seems to balance performance and battery life well, but some enthusiasts feel Infinix is deliberately holding back certain features to avoid overshadowing higher-tier models. Still, for those prioritizing 5G connectivity, big battery life, and a capable processor at an accessible price, this could be a strong contender.
