Huawei appears ready to refresh its audio lineup with the upcoming FreeBuds 7i, the successor to the FreeBuds 6i launched in May 2024.
Fresh leaks from Weibo have revealed live images that give us an early look at the design and color options of the next-generation earbuds.
At first glance, the FreeBuds 7i keep the familiar in-ear style with silicone tips and a flat stem, but the charging case has been noticeably redesigned. Unlike the slightly boxier look of the FreeBuds 6i, the new case adopts a smoother, more rounded shape, giving it a sleeker aesthetic.
The leaked photos show the earbuds in three shades – classic White, minimalist Black, and a stylish Pink variant aimed at younger users. Beyond appearances, the details remain under wraps, but industry watchers expect Huawei to improve on active noise cancellation (ANC) and overall sound performance to keep the FreeBuds 7i competitive in the crowded TWS market.
Reports also suggest that Huawei could unveil the FreeBuds 7i alongside the much-anticipated Huawei Watch GT 6 series as early as next month, making it a big launch event for the brand’s wearable and audio ecosystem.
