Honor X7c 5G Set to Launch in India on August 18

Honor has officially confirmed that the Honor X7c 5G will launch in India on August 18, following the release of its 4G sibling last October.

The new model retains the familiar look but packs a more modern chipset – the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 – promising a solid boost in everyday performance over the older Snapdragon 480, thanks to higher benchmark scores and better efficiency.

Running MagicOS 8 out of the box, the X7c 5G offers up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, paired with a 50MP primary camera. The 6.8-inch display runs at 120Hz with a peak brightness of 850 nits. While some critics point out that it still uses TFT LCD technology – an unusual choice in 2025 – Honor claims the panel delivers sharp visuals for its class.

The phone’s 5,200 mAh battery supports 35W fast charging, and it comes with dual stereo speakers and an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating. Available in Forest Green and Moonlight White, the Honor X7c 5G will be sold via Amazon.in, with pricing yet to be revealed.

Reactions online are mixed – some users praise the chipset’s efficiency and battery life, while others mock the continued use of TFT screens and question the relevance of a third, seemingly decorative camera lens. Still, for buyers looking for a budget-friendly 5G option with a big battery, the X7c 5G might hit the sweet spot.
