Honor Power 2 to Feature 10,000 mAh Battery and Dimensity 8500

Honor is doubling down on its battery supremacy with the upcoming Honor Power 2, a device rumored to pack a massive 10,000 mAh battery.

The original Honor Power, launched in April with an already impressive 8,000 mAh cell, made headlines for its endurance, but with rivals like Redmi pushing similar limits, Honor is taking things even further.

Fresh leaks from China suggest the Power 2 will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, positioning it firmly in the upper mid-range category. While other specifications remain under wraps, pairing such a capable SoC with this colossal battery hints at multi-day battery life – potentially three to four days for average users.

For context, the first Honor Power featured a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1224×2700 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and an eye-searing 4,000-nit peak brightness. It housed a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide, and a 16 MP selfie shooter, with 66W wired charging. Whether the Power 2 will improve charging speeds or stick with this proven setup remains to be seen.

Some enthusiasts are already calling it a ‘power bank with a CPU, GPU, and display’, while others debate chipset choices – with some wishing for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 instead. Still, with battery life now becoming a fierce battleground in the smartphone market, the Honor Power 2 is shaping up to be one of the most interesting releases in the months ahead.
