Honor is getting ready for its next big wave of mid-range flagships, and the new Honor 500 series is now almost fully out in the open.
Honor 500 and 500 Pro officially revealed: design, colors and storage options
With pre-orders already live in China, the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro have stepped into the spotlight, revealing a bold new design, generous memory options, and a color palette that clearly targets style-conscious buyers.

Flat display, slim bezels and a clean front

Both the Honor 500 and 500 Pro come with a flat display framed by slim, even bezels that give the phones a modern, almost symmetrical look. A small hole-punch cutout is centered at the top of the screen, housing the selfie camera without intruding too much on the viewing area. The overall front design is minimal and functional, aimed at users who like a clean canvas for gaming, video streaming, and social media.

Striking horizontal camera bar inspired by premium phones

The real design drama happens on the back. Honor has given the 500 series a horizontal camera module that immediately stands out and subtly echoes the layout seen on some premium competitors. On the standard Honor 500, the bar holds two large circular islands along with two smaller cutouts, combining three camera sensors and an LED flash into a compact yet eye-catching strip. It looks intentionally bold, designed to make the phone recognizable from a distance while still staying relatively slim in profile.

The Honor 500 Pro takes the idea a step further. Its module is filled with three prominent circles and what appears to be a total of four cameras built into the layout. While full camera specs are still under wraps, the hardware clearly hints at a more capable photography setup, likely aimed at users who care about portraits, night shots, and detailed everyday photography.

New side button for quick actions

Another small but interesting detail is the new button positioned just below the power key on both models. Honor has not fully detailed its functions yet, but it is widely expected to be a customizable shortcut button. That could mean instant access to the camera, mute mode, gaming tools, or any app you choose, giving power users a handy new way to tailor the phones to their habits.

Plenty of RAM and storage on both models

Honor is not holding back when it comes to configurations. The regular Honor 500 is listed in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB versions, already more than enough for the typical user who juggles heavy apps and large galleries. The Honor 500 Pro adds an even more premium tier on top: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and a flagship-style 16GB/1TB option for those who want laptop-like storage in their pocket.

Four elegant color options

Regardless of which model you choose, the color lineup is the same: Moonlight Silver, Obsidian Black, Starlight Powder, and Aquamarine. Moonlight Silver offers a more subtle, polished metallic look, while Obsidian Black aims at users who prefer a classic, understated style. Starlight Powder adds a softer, more playful tone that will likely appeal to younger buyers, and Aquamarine brings a fresher, ocean-inspired finish that stands out without being too loud.

Launch window and early availability

Honor has not yet shared an exact launch date for the 500 series, but the brand has confirmed that the phones will officially debut in China in the coming weeks. With pre-order pages already live on the company’s Chinese website, the Honor 500 and 500 Pro are clearly very close to release. For now, all eyes are on the Chinese launch, but the design and configurations strongly suggest that Honor is preparing a pair of mainstream crowd-pleasers that could later make their way to more markets.
