Google Flight Deals: AI Tool to Find Cheapest Flights

Google has just unveiled Flight Deals, a new AI-powered travel tool aimed squarely at bargain hunters. Rolling out over the next week, it’s accessible via its own dedicated page or through the top-left menu on Google Flights.

For now, the beta launch is limited to the US, Canada, and India, as Google seeks feedback and experiments with how AI can enhance trip planning.

Unlike traditional flight search engines where you endlessly tweak dates, destinations, and filters, Flight Deals takes a conversational approach. Simply type your travel wish list in plain language-just as if you were chatting with a friend-and let the AI handle the rest. The system quietly sifts through endless combinations in the background, surfacing the cheapest, most relevant flights in a clean, easy-to-read format.

Google envisions it as perfect for flexible travelers focused on saving money rather than sticking to rigid schedules. Want a “week-long trip this winter to a city with amazing food, nonstop only”? Or maybe a “10-day ski holiday at a top resort with fresh powder”? The AI can handle these prompts and more, tailoring suggestions to your budget and vibe.

While some have voiced skepticism-accusing Google of steering attention away from less profitable discussions-the tool itself shows promise. If it works as intended, it could change how spontaneous, budget-friendly travel is planned online.
