The Galaxies Showcase 2025 is just around the corner, and excitement is already sky-high. This year’s edition promises to be one of the biggest gaming events of the season, featuring over 50 games, six brand-new world premieres, multiple exclusive reveals, and even demo drops. If you’re wondering where to watch and what surprises to expect, we’ve got you covered with a complete breakdown of the event, its schedule, and the key highlights that will make it unforgettable.
When and where to watch: The Galaxies Showcase 2025 kicks off on Thursday, October 23, starting at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET / 8 PM GMT. The event will be streamed live across all major platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, and IGN’s official channels. IGN will once again partner with Galaxies to provide exclusive streaming coverage, including an in-depth post-show analysis of the biggest announcements, gameplay debuts, and interviews with developers.
Returning to host this year’s showcase is Jane Douglas, who brings her trademark charisma and insight to guide viewers through a lineup that spans from AAA titles to innovative indie gems. Expect a mix of surprise announcements and deep dives into long-awaited projects from some of the most creative studios in the industry.
What to expect from the lineup: Among the confirmed partners are NACON, Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms, Team17, and Behaviour Interactive, which will also be offering Twitch Drops for viewers who tune in live. Three unannounced titles are said to be the centerpiece of the event, each described as a “show-defining reveal.” One of these comes from Unifiq, an ambitious open-world survival crafting adventure that has quietly built anticipation within the community.
PlaySide Studios is preparing to unveil the first-ever Dumb Ways to Die game designed for PC and console, while fans of detective adventures can look forward to the long-awaited release date of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire. Team17 will showcase three new indie projects from around the world, one of which will make its global debut as a world-exclusive premiere. Meanwhile, Lichthund’s Rockbeasts will finally reveal its launch date, accompanied by new gameplay footage from Wych Elm’s mysterious Silver Pines.
NACON plans to reveal a first gameplay look and release window for the much-anticipated Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, while 3D Realms is ready to “bring the heat” with the official launch trailer for the Painkiller reboot. Kepler Interactive joins the lineup with an “arsenal of announcements,” headlined by an epic reveal of Solasta II from Tactical Adventures.
The 2025 showcase will spotlight an incredible diversity of genres and studios – from Secret Mode and Owlcat Games to Fireshine Games, Noodle Cat Games, Big Fan Games, and Crosswind Crew. Expect RPGs, survival titles, tactical adventures, horror thrillers, and a few wild cards that defy categorization. With so many creative voices represented, this year’s Galaxies Showcase could easily set the tone for the gaming year ahead.
Until then, fans are encouraged to revisit the first-ever Galaxies Showcase from earlier this year to get a taste of what’s coming – though this new event promises to be even bigger, bolder, and packed with world premieres destined to dominate gaming conversations for weeks to come.
