Forza Motorsport and Horizon 5 Will Keep Getting Updates Despite Studio Cuts

Despite recent layoffs at Turn 10 Studios, both Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon 5 will continue to receive updates and support. Last month, reports suggested that Turn 10 had been shifted into a Forza franchise support role after another round of cuts at the Microsoft-owned studio.

This left fans concerned about the future of the series-particularly the newly released Forza Motorsport.

The official reassurance came via the Forza Motorsport account on X, confirming that both Turn 10 and Playground Games remain committed to supporting their respective titles. Forza Horizon 5’s continued success was never in serious doubt. Even after nearly four years, the open-world racer is still going strong-recently launching on PlayStation 5 and topping charts there, further proving its lasting appeal.

Speculation about Forza Horizon 6 is already circulating, with rumors suggesting it might arrive sooner than expected. In contrast, the future of a brand-new Forza Motorsport entry is less certain, especially if Turn 10 is now primarily focused on maintaining existing games.

Meanwhile, Forza Motorsport players have something to look forward to right now. The popular Track Toys Tour has been permanently reactivated in Career mode, complete with its prized reward: the 2019 Porsche #70 Porsche Motorsport 935. This marks the second Featured Tour to return, with all four series and the Reward Showcase now playable at any time.

Turn 10 plans to restore one Tour each month, starting with the Ringer Tour on September 4, until all Tours are back in rotation. While the long-term roadmap for the franchise remains to be seen, fans can expect a steady flow of content and events for the foreseeable future.
