Disney Cruise Line has revealed an enchanting new addition aboard its upcoming ship, the Disney Destiny – the Doctor Strange-inspired Sanctum lounge. Debuting on November 20, 2025, this mystical space will welcome guests on Deck 3, taking the spot that sister ships reserve for other themed lounges like the Skipper Society or The Bayou.
The Sanctum draws deeply from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, featuring iconic details such as the Cloak of Levitation, ancient spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj, and – at its heart – the instantly recognizable Seal of the Vishanti window from Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum in New York City.
This centerpiece casts an ethereal glow across the lounge, making it an irresistible photo spot.
Though construction isn’t fully complete, early previews at the Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, already showcase a space brimming with atmosphere. The lounge sits only steps from the Haunted Mansion Parlor, creating a seamless blend of supernatural vibes for guests who love immersive storytelling.
The drinks menu promises to be just as magical, with creations like the Vapors of Valtorr, topped with a tower of floating bubbles, and the Circle of Cosmos, served in a glass that appears to defy gravity by standing upside down. These imaginative concoctions are set to become conversation starters for travelers and Marvel fans alike.
The Sanctum is just one highlight of the Disney Destiny’s packed lineup, which also includes Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, Worlds of Marvel, the Incredibles-themed Edna A La Mode Sweets, a Broadway-style Hercules show, De Vil’s Piano Bar, the Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired Cask & Cannon, and much more.
With its fusion of high-end cruise luxury and Marvel magic, The Sanctum is shaping up to be a must-visit destination for fans – provided your wallet can handle the spell.
