Kalypso Media has announced a new entry in the beloved dark fantasy strategy RPG series with Disciples: Domination. Set to release in 2026, this game serves as a direct sequel to the 2021 title Disciples: Liberation, though it introduces a new developer: Artefacts Studio, taking over from the Canadian Frima Studio. The game’s narrative picks up fifteen years after the events of Liberation, where the mighty Queen Avyanna freed the land of Nevendaar from the gods’ oppressive rule. In Disciples: Domination, players take on the role of the Queen herself, tasked with holding together a fragile and decaying kingdom. With the weight of leadership heavy on her shoulders, Avyanna struggles with internal doubt, fearing that she might transform into the very monsters she once overthrew. 
As her kingdom falters and allies abandon her, a mysterious force stirs up chaos, leading to conflict and madness across the realm.
The game’s story will be shaped by the choices players make. They’ll navigate betrayal, dark magic, and conspiracy, as they uncover the truths behind the unrest gripping the empire. As the leader of the faction, Avyanna will be able to choose companions, with each of them offering guidance that influences the direction of her reign. Their advice will impact how the faction is perceived, altering relationships and leading to different outcomes.
Combat in Disciples: Domination will be faster-paced than its predecessor, with dynamic events and enhanced interactions during grid-based tactical battles. New skills, faction abilities, and unit synergies will offer greater strategic depth, allowing players to exploit unique strengths and weaknesses of their army. This rich gameplay is complemented by a new combat system designed to provide even more options for players to explore.
The game is slated to release in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
