ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 5090 Finally Available at $1999 MSRP

After months of inflated prices and frustrating stock shortages, North American gamers can finally breathe a sigh of relief: the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5090 has officially landed at its $1999 MSRP.

This marks the first time since launch that NVIDIA’s flagship RTX 50 series card is widely available at its intended retail price.

For context, the RTX 5090 debuted at $1999 but quickly climbed into the $2300–$2700 range as demand outpaced supply. Meanwhile, European markets were already seeing cards at or even below MSRP, adding to the frustration of buyers in the U.S. Now, at long last, one of the most in-demand GPUs – the ASUS TUF edition – can be picked up at Best Buy for its official price tag.

The ASUS TUF RTX 5090 may be a “base” edition, but it’s anything but basic. With a 2407 MHz boost clock (2437 MHz in OC mode), triple-fan cooling, a vapor chamber with 12 heat pipes, and Dual BIOS for Quiet or Performance modes, it’s a powerhouse built for 4K max settings and beyond. It’s also one of the few models confirmed to actually sit at MSRP in North America right now, while other variants such as MSI’s Ventus 3X OC are still hovering around $2299.

The gradual price corrections reflect broader improvements in GPU availability. Analysts expect more RTX 5090s and even 5080s to hit MSRP in the coming weeks as supply stabilizes. For now, though, the ASUS TUF 5090 is shaping up to be one of the best high-end gaming deals on the market.
